New York, New York!

As soon as I found out I was really going to the US last June, I made a pledge to myself that I’d find a way to fly from the West Coast to the East Coast.

And so a week after arriving in Los Angeles and soon after the conference I attended there, I started to go my way to the city that never sleeps and I was not disappointed. Special mention to Berns and Gary who took care of me when I was there.

Dateline: Los Angeles

I arrived in Los Angeles on June 1 but wasn’t able to go around until days later. My uncle whisked me away to San Diego, that’s why.

Los Angeles is home to the University of Southern California and its Annenberg School of Communication where the Beyond Broadcast 2009 conference was held from June 3 to 5. I spoke at the opening plenary session, sharing the Philippine experience on mobile activism. Continue reading
